JULIEN MACDONALD F/W RTW 09

Once again, another designer hits the nail on the head.

Julien Macdonald definitely served up the goods at his F/W 09 show.

So many spot-on trends, so little time! I'm definitely getting the Balmain vibe from this, but hey, that isn't such a bad thing. Cut-outs, the exaggerated shoulder, grunge-y laddered knits, studs and spikes. I am totally in love.

one of my favorite up and coming designers from LA.

Then again, how can you be up and coming with a fan base consisting of Kanye West, Santogold, M.I.A, Peaches, Beyonce, Uffie, and of course my favorite, that space tranny Lady Gaga herself?

This adorable little carrot topped wunderkind has made it.

Loving the metallic leggings, bodycon minis, and screenprinted tanks.

And of course his collab with my favorite jewelers Alex & Chloe doesn't hurt either!

to me, this dress is a mix of Balenciaga and Alexander Wang S/S 09

...funny thing is, it comes from S/S 08.........hmm

TODD LYNN F/W '09

YES.

Todd Lynn's F/W '09 collection at London Fashion week is definitely one of the best I've seen so far.  The long 'n lean 'n mean leather pants and the black and white theme was dramatic and severe and NAILED just about everything that I love in fashion right now. I'm crazy about black on black textures (like those seen in the paintings of the dutch masters) and LYNN did it so well with his combination of furs, knits, leathers, and velvets.

...and this post would not be complete without a shout-out to those STUNNING black hairy booties. gorgeous.
